The 2017 Professional Adviser Retirement Planner Awards results
were announced on Tuesday 20th June 2017, and our very own Aisa Professional, part of the Aisa Group, won.
Chaired by Deborah Benn, the judging panel comprised financial services and retirement specialist Nigel Barlow, Jane Finnerty, joint chair of the Society of Later Life Advisers, Lawrence Gosling, group editorial director of Incisive Media, Chris Hannant, director general of the Association of Professional Financial Advisers, Tish Hanifan, founder and joint chair of the Society of Later Life Advisers, Hayley North, co-founder of Rose & North, Keith Richards, chief executive of the Personal Finance Society, James Wilson, an adviser with Financial Lifestyle Management and Stuart Wilson, managing director of the Later Life Academy and Equity Release Club.
Benn said: “One of the highlights of this year’s awards was the Young Retirement Planner of the Year category that attracted an outstanding array of young talent, which is a promising sign for the future of the industry.
“In an industry where the average age of professionals is over 50, it is fantastic to see such an injection of young blood not only working in the industry, but showing true commitment and a desire to do the best for clients.
“Retirement planning is an increasingly important sector of financial services, particularly as the UK faces an ageing population, and our winners and highly commended entrants certainly demonstrated the importance of the role retirement planning plays in our society.”
She added: “Once again, the Retirement Planner Awards have highlighted those who have proved themselves to be at the forefront of the provision of dynamic and fresh approaches to retirement planning and pensions advice services in the current challenging environment.”
“Everybody connected with Retirement Planner is very grateful to all those who took the time to enter our awards. Many congratulations to all the winning individuals and businesses.”
As Retirement Planner’s sister title, Professional Adviser wholly endorses those sentiments.
John Reid from Aisa attended the event and accepted this latest award with gratitude, especially given the high level of the competition in this event, and would like to congratulate the Niche Chartered Financial Planners for being Highly Commended.
