(Hereafter “Aisa International”) collects personal, private information from its clients in order to determine the client’s specific investment goals and objectives, which will assist in determining how to adequately service the client account based on the services provided by AISA International, as disclosed in AISA International’s Form ADV Part 2A in the US through a Privacy Document and for EU GDPR requirements through this statement.
The safeguarding of client information is an issue we take seriously, and we want to assure all of our clients that whenever information is collected and used, it is done so with discretion. To affirm our continuing commitment to the proper use of client information, we have set forth the following Privacy Principles, which are designed to guide us in serving the privacy needs of our clients.

3. Providing your personal data to others
3.1 We will not disclose your information provided on a contact form on this website to any third parties outside of those Aisa International group of companies. We may disclose your personal data to any member of Aisa International (this means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and all its subsidiaries) insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy.
3.2 We may disclose your personal data to our insurers and/or professional advisers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining professional advice and managing legal disputes.
3.3 In addition to the specific disclosures of personal data set out in this Section 3, we may also disclose your personal data where such disclosure is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.
3.4 AISA International, employee access to personally identifiable client information is limited to those employees that have a business reason to know such information. Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of client information and on these Privacy Principles. Because of the importance of these issues, all AISA International employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of client information and employees who violate these Privacy Principles will be subject to discipline.
4. International transfers of your personal data
4.1 In this Section 4, we provide information about the circumstances in which your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
4.2 The Owner and Marketing of this website is controlled through Aisa International (Asia) Ltd, Suite 1106-08 11/F, Tai Yau Building, No. 181 Johnston Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong. They adhere to the EU GDPR and US Privacy system. However, they do not access the CRM system where your information is held if you complete an enquiry form.
4.3 The hosting facilities for our website are situated in Microsoft’s Azure West Europe DC which is in the Netherlands. All personal data is held within the EU within tier 1 secure data centres. Transfers to other countries will be protected by appropriate safeguards, namely the use of standard data protection clauses adopted or approved by the European Commission.
4.3 You acknowledge that personal data that you submit through our website or services may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use (or misuse) of such personal data by others.
5. Retaining and deleting personal data
5.1 This Section 5 sets out our data retention policies and procedure, which are designed to help ensure that we comply with our legal obligations in relation to the retention and deletion of personal data.
5.2 Personal data that we process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.
5.3 We will retain and delete your personal data as follows:
(a) Your contact details will be retained for 60 months, at the end of which period it will be deleted from our systems.
5.4 Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 5, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person. Please note that parts of Aisa International are regulated and under financial services regulation we are instructed to retain client initial contact information and personal data for a minimum period of 5 years and for some transactions we are instructed to retain this information indefinitely and we would not be able to comply with EU rules on right to be forgotten (section 14).

7. Your rights
7.1 In this Section, we have summarised the rights that you have under data protection law. Some of the rights are complex, and not all of the details have been included in our summaries.
